Ruth Miller grew up in a Christian home and at the age of 10 accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. When she was 13 she was water baptized. At 14 she received the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

In May of 1998, when she was 19, she was hit by a car while running across the freeway (her friend had a blow out) and miraculously had no broken bones, internal bleeding or brain damage.

She married at the age of 22. She has been married for 20 years and has five children.

The retreats started as a Bible Study of four women who decided there needed to be a retreat. After the first retreat we decided there should be another one the following year. With that, I prayed and asked God what the theme for the coming year would be. He gave me "Imagine what God can do" and that was the beginning of the "Imagine what God can do" Women's Retreats.
